WE Soda Ltd (“WE Soda”), the world's largest producer of natural soda ash, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a “Platinum Medal” sustainability rating by EcoVadis, the globally recognised sustainability assessment platform.
WE Soda was awarded a sustainability rating score of 80 out of 100, placing the company in the top 1% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the “Basic Chemicals” subsector globally. EcoVadis uses a rigorous methodology that covers four themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement and, as part of its assessment, WE Soda was recognised as a leader in all of these categories, receiving an “Outstanding” in the environment category.
